Serving as the chief executive officer and chief risk officer of United MSO of America, LLC, in Wellington, Florida, Michael Presley is a practicing attorney whose work at the company includes building a national network of health care providers. As an attorney, Michael Presley is also a member of several professional organizations, including the Florida Bar Association.
Created in 1907, the Florida Bar Association was designed initially to draft court procedures and publish legal journals along with providing resources for attorneys. Today, the Florida Bar has a membership of more than 100,000 legal professionals and serves them and the public in educational efforts in several legal areas, including health law.
The Florida Bar’s Health Law Section was created to oversee the development and improvement in legal education that would help support attorney knowledge, as well as public understanding, of legal and regulatory issues at the local, state and federal levels. The Section is also concerned exploring the relationships between health care providers, payors, and consumers.
